Well today is the day we start trying to figure out what’s up with Luna. We’ve spent most of the last week and a half not doing much of anything. I had a quick ride on her a couple of days after her bodyworker came out. Lunged her once, long lined her once and went for a hand walk the other day.
She seems happy to be doing nothing right now. She is definitely happier to see me. I get nickers most of the days I have been out instead of mare glare. That makes me feel worse knowing that I was probably making her that grumpy. Hindsight is 20/20 though I suppose.
I started her on Recovery this week too and man, I have NEVER seen her dive into grain like she has since I started feeding her the Recovery. No joke. She has never been motivated or super interested in grain. Most of the time she won’t even eat it. But with this stuff she just can’t get enough. I am all about them eating what their body needs. Guess she just hasn’t “needed” other things I have fed her in the past. Whether that was the BOSS, or the probio’s etc – guess her body just didn’t need it.
